Principal's Message

Welcome to Marina Early Education Center (EEC). I am honored to lead a diverse school community with enthusiastic young learners, devoted parents, and a dedicated team. I have worked in the  Los Angeles Unified School District for nearly three decades in various capacities supporting PreK through 12th-grade students, teachers, and district leaders. However, my current experience as the Principal at Marina EEC has been the most rewarding and heartfelt. The eagerness to learn and inquisitive nature of our youngest scholars motivates me to ensure Marina EEC is an exemplary early childhood education program. By working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and attending professional development to build professional capacity, we are able to design quality instruction to maximize student engagement. The daily routine of students includes multiple experiences with literacy, numeracy, science, and social-emotional development. Our program model reflects learning through play and small group direct instruction both indoors and outdoors. Our Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom is an exciting world of discovery through gardening, building, bicycling, climbing, dramatic play, games, and painting. I am excited about the new school year and look forward to building a strong partnership.
